Sting Rays

Freshwater Stingrays are among my favorite of all fishes. Their intelligence, gracefulness and beauty surpass any other fish I have encountered. I currently have my basement setup as a rain forest with two ponds, 18 feet x 11 feet x 3 feet and a 8 foot x 8 foot x 27 " pond. Three 1000-watt HPS and three 400-watt MH illuminate these ponds. There are also ten 8-foot high output fluorescent fixtures. I have five different species of Tropical Lilies growing on the ponds with several dozen species of Bromeliads, Orchids, Jasmine, Passion vines and other species of tropical plants interspersed throughout the facility. These plants not only provide beauty but also a home for various species of Geckos, tree frogs and Chameleons.
Currently we are rebuilding the 5000 gallon pond to increase it's volume 875 gallons and to create a waterfall that runs the intire 18 foot length. When completed we are going to increase the number of leopoldi rays to 6 and also add 4 tiger rays. In addition I am going to add 1000 cardinal tetras, 150 emperor tetras, 60 congos, altum angelfish along with 24 coari green discus. I will update the pictures upon completion come fall...
